“ This is an absolute local gem in Newton The quality of food is great and the cocktails are to die for...and oh..the cornbread...oh the cornbread There are some twists with the taste that work well such as the red curry paste on chicken wings - which makes stuff even more interesting. The servers are great too and dessert was good ”
“ I HIGHLY recommend buttonwood to anyone in the Newton/Chestnut Hill area. Even if you don’t live near that area it is worth the drive! My husband and I enjoy this as our favorite spot for a date night. This is perfect for a night out that makes you feel like you’re going into the city, but not quite in the city. The menu has SO many options. It is seasonal, fresh and absolutely delightful. We recently went for my birthday over the weekend. We enjoyed the delcious chicken wings (cooked & flavored so perfectly!), the cornbread with the Tabasco butter (a must have!), my husband got the chicken under a brick & I got their pasta special (gnocchi with a duck ragout.... AMAZING). To top it all off, they provided complimentary cannolis for each of us for my birthday!! And then we ordered the banana pudding... (also a must have!!) We left with full bellies and full hearts from such an amazing dining experience. Thank you buttonwood!!! ”
“ The food was so fresh and well balanced and delicious. The cocktail list was fun and well crafted. So happy their patio is dog friendly as well. Can't wait to go back since it's just a short bike ride away. ”
“ Excellent location. Great food. Customer service was perfect ... I got the mussels ”
“ Brought my friend here because the cornbread was so good that we had to try it for dinner. Great wine and prosecco pours. We got the wings, which were huge with a Mango chutney. Crispy, juicy, and a very nice portion. Shrimp pasta was light, and the sauce was excellent! Cornbread with a sriracha butter was the perfect amount of heat. Brick chicken, fantastic! We can't wait to go back and try more of the menu items. Highly recommend ”
“ Yummy and the servers are amazing and attentive. My food came out quickly and the serving was quite large. I got the pork milenese and cornbread ”
“ We are huge fans of Sycamore and Little Big Diner, and so we were more than thrilled that Mr. Punch decided to open another restaurant. The atmosphere was trendy. The drinks were lovely. The food was nothing but amazing. The staff were incredibly nice. We even got to speak with the owner himself and he was charming as ever. We will definitely be back here again. It's going to be hard to choose between Sycamore and Buttonwood. ”
“ I was surprised by the sophisticateness of the dishes in this restaurant. It was my first experience dining in a new American restaurant and completely changed my view on how new American can be. Love the food the atmosphere and the desserts. ”
